XamComboEditor Display Text Override

A XamComboEditor with multiple selections seems to be an uncommon thing, especially with checkboxes. When you do it, however, you're left with a single character separated list of the selected values. Once you reach more than three items, this list becomes unwieldy; even with three or less, a single character delimiter rarely looks good.

It would be great to be able to override the text displayed in the main box with the empty text, or some other value.

I would like to add that the above described feature would be VERY helpful for my project. I would like to use this control in the multi select mode with checkboxes and be able to search the list by typing - but not have the selected (ie checked) items all appear in the same box we have to type into. Very clumsy!
